art writing
Geographically, my work in visual art focuses on the Caribbean, Latin America, China, and East Asia, as well as their North American diasporas. I am interested in thinking about the power dynamics associated with (counter)visuality. Recently, I have been especially drawn to works that engage coloniality and diaspora in relation to ecology and geography, especially their sensuous and affective forms.
